HOW DID YOU BECOME A MODEL? I did an ad three years ago, and Olivier Bertrand, at Success, invited me to work with the agency.

IS IT REALLY THE GOOD LIFE? Yes. I love this job, because I travel a lot and I started earning a lot of money immediately. I'm also free to choose between work and play. It's the kind of freedom that matters to me.

WHERE DO YOU LIVE? I live in New York. I have a place in the Village, their own St.-Germain-des-Pres. I love that city; it's got everything you could possibly dream of--movies, shows, clubs, and nobody knows who you are!

WHAT'S YOUR DECORATING STYLE? I love the Oriental style, rugs, colored tiles, incense...

WHAT DO YOU DO ON YOUR TIME OFF? I ride my bicycle, I swim, I Rollerblade at Malibu Beach...when I have the time. But since I travel twice a week, I live with permanent jet lag, so I try to rest a lot.

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR FIRST IN A GIRL?The eyes--they often reflect a personality; then the face, then the body.

HOW'S YOUR LOVE LIFE? I don't really have the time to commit to any lasting relationship, at least for now. I work much too hard!

WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE FEMALE MODELS? Helena, for her baby-doll style; and Christy Turlington,she's got the face of an angel.

DO YOU THINK YOU'RE HANDSOME? As with anybody else, it depends on the day. But I'm sure that if you think positive and feel good in your head and in your body, you project a better image of yourself.

DO YOU OBSESS ABOUT ANYTHING IN PARTICULAR? Not at all, or I wouldn't be in this business.

YOUR GOOD QUALITIES, YOUR FAULTS? My good qualities: ambition, generosity. My greatest fault: I'm too much of a loner, I'm self-sufficient, I like to do things on my own.

YOUR FAVORITE ACTORS? Robert De Niro, Harrison Ford (he's fabulous), Dustin Hoffman,he can do anything, from being funny to very sad, with the same talent. Among women? Julia Roberts, because she's beautiful and very natural, and Marilyn Monroe for her femininity and fragility.

YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC? I like everything. It depends on the moment. When I'm driving, I like speedy music, such as Us3 and the Rolling Stones. When I'm at home, I listen to classical music, or reggae, like Bob Marley, for example.

YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANTS? I prefer spicy food, Indian or Moroccan.

WHERE DO YOU GOT AT NIGHT? In Paris, the Bains-Douches, Arc, Queen. In Amsterdam, I go to Roxy's...

YOUR FAVORITE COUNTRIES?Italy for beauty; and the United States to be left alone and also because life is easy.

YOUR CLOTHING STYLE?I like low-key and comfortable clothes. My favorite colors: off-white, gray, blue. My favorite designers: Giorgio Armani, Cerruti , Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren.
